What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between visits — such as your preferences or whether you've already seen a notice — and help us understand how the site is used.
How we use them
MotoTorch uses cookies and similar browser storage for a few purposes:
- Essential — remembering your cookie choice so we don't show the consent banner on every page. This is stored locally in your browser and is never sent to us.
- Analytics — if enabled, understanding which articles and guides are read most, so we can make the site better. These are aggregated and don't identify you personally.
- Affiliate — some of our reviews and gear guides link to retailers. Those partners may set their own cookies to attribute a purchase to us. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Your choices
When you first visit, you'll see a banner where you can Accept or Decline. Your choice is remembered on this device. You can change it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for MotoTorch, which will make the banner reappear.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so won't break the site — a few conveniences may just reset.
Data we collect
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide and use it only to send you MotoTorch updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We don't sell your data — to anyone, ever.
Third parties
Analytics and affiliate partners we work with have their own privacy policies governing the data they process. We only work with partners whose practices we're comfortable with.
